Project Concept
The brief called for a villa that felt as good to live in as it looked from the street — sun-washed, breezy, and built around the outdoor pool terrace rather than apart from it. We leaned into whitewashed walls, natural stone, and wide glazing to blur the line between inside and out.
Our process
We reoriented the main living spaces toward the pool and garden, replacing heavy drapery with sheer linen and low-iron glass. Every material choice — limewash plaster, reclaimed terracotta, hand-finished oak — was selected to age gracefully in the coastal climate. Outdoor furniture was specified alongside interior pieces so the two spaces would read as one continuous retreat.
The Outcome
The villa now moves effortlessly between shaded lounging and sunlit gathering. Cross-breezes move freely through the open plan, and every room frames a view of the garden or the water. It's a home built for long Mediterranean afternoons.
